Church changes name, services

Peninsula Christian Center is the new name of the former Soldotna First Assembly of God Church. The congregation at PenCC has been re-engineering for the past year, finding new ways to effectively minister to the Kenai Peninsula.

Along with the name, other changes include two totally different Sunday morning services. If described in "coffee" terms, the 8:30 a.m. daybreak service would be "rich and mellow" or more traditional, while the 10:30 a.m. service would be "full-bodied and robust" or more contemporary. There is coffee time fellowship between the two services from 10 to 10:30.

Wednesday night is still family discipleship night with different classes and electives for all ages. PenCC also has adopted a new mission, purpose and value statements.
