Artist in Residence a great experience

Posted: Monday, May 10, 2010

Sterling Elementary staff and students would like to thank the Sterling community and the Sterling Elementary PTA for making our Artist in Residence visit possible. Your generous support allowed the students to benefit from the unique opportunity to learn from professional drummer Mr. D of the Kodiak Island Drummers. The rhythm, concentration, and perseverance this experience helped to develop will support our children in many lifelong activates, and hopefully, the exciting experience of drumming will remain a happy memory for life. A special thank you to Outlaw Body and Paint for donating the use of a rental car and to Call of the Wild for the donation of cabin all week long for both Mr. D and his assistant Samuel.
