ANCHORAGE (AP) -- The state of Alaska has received $13.4 million from the federal Minerals Management Service.
The money is the last of 15 annual payments made as settlement of a dispute over royalties, rents and bonuses from certain federal offshore oil and gas leases.
The agency this year paid out a total of $65 million to Alaska and five other states, Alabama, California, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.
