No Child Left Behind Act is train wreck in progress

Posted: Tuesday, May 11, 2004

We must all be concerned about the ramifications of the No Child Left Behind Act. In many, many instances, it leaves more children behind than helps them and costs unnecessary budget drains from school districts and teachers.

Parents must take the lead in getting involved in this education policy which is a giant step backward with the end result destroying our public schools.

Tony Knowles is trying to educate us all about this very clear danger to our public schools. Our schools were on the right track long before the federal government decided to step in and manage education.

We must throw out this very defective No Child Left Behind Act, which is a train wreck in progress. Tony Knowles has said, "Reform it or repeal it." As a former educator, I couldn't agree more.
