Aurora Borealis Charter School

Congratulations to the Polar Bears Robotics Team. they competed in the No (Physical) Limits First Lego League World Festival in April in Atlanta. Mrs. Phillips and Mr. Chadwick coached Alex Kaufman, Logan Haralson, Zac Kooly, Maya Chay, Marquee Lucas, Dillon Ball, Delissa Severson, Jacqueline Pepper and Renetta Hensler.

Congratulations to district forensics competitors: Duncan Brewer — first in humorous poetry; Daniel Flores and Garron Lucas — first in multiple poetry; Freya Chay, Brandi Wagoner and Haylee Swanson — second in multiple prose; Kaylee Tanner — first in nonhumorous prose; Lydia Chadwick — first in storytelling; Colton Anderson — third in humorous poetry; Brooke Jackson and Lizzie McDermid — third in multiple prose; Autumn Ball — third in non-humorous poetry; Abigail Chadwick, Hannah Coffman, and Allie McGahan — third in multiple prose; and Megan Gordon — first in storytelling.

The primary grades spring musical program, "Old MacDonald's Farm," is at 7 p.m. Thursday at Soldotna Bible Chapel. There will be a silent auction for a quilt made by the third-grade class.

Parents are welcome to visit the wax museum from 10:45 to 11:15 a.m. in the gym, where Mrs. Hagen's fifth-graders will portray the characters.
