Mountain View Elementary

Sears second-grade parents and Kaleidoscope third-grade parents are invited to a luncheon at noon on Wednesday. Come to meet the teachers and tour the school.

Mrs. Keating's fifth-grade class leaves next week for a three-day, two-night camp at Kachemak Bay Learning Center. Students have sold peelers and kept their grades up in order to embark on this adventure.

Mrs. Jackson retirement open house is from 4 to 6 p.m. May 18 in the school library.

Graham Dane is our Artist in Schools resident artist and will be here for three weeks. Each class will meet with him several times they are working on large paper mache animals and will paint a mural on the ball wall. This program is sponsored by the PTA. Artists in Schools is a program of the Alaska State Council on the Arts, which receives support from the Alaska State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Today is the last day of trash-can ball after school.

Sports Day is Friday.
