The school thanks Jacqui Erion of the Alaska State Parks for providing its boating safety program for students. This annual program is educational for children as the summer recreation season approaches.
Incoming kindergarten families are reminded of the visitation at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mrs. Blossom's classroom. Parents of these children will have a brief meeting with the principal in the school library once these children arrive.
The fourth-quarter Lynx Tracks activity is Tuesday and May 18. Students will go to the Nikiski pool. A fee of $3 per child and written parent permission is required.
Parent volunteers are needed to assist with the school's field day activities on the last day of school, May 26. Adult volunteers may contact the school to sign up. Volunteers may specify which level (primary or intermediate) they would prefer. The school thanks Mrs. Sinnott, Mr. Cowans and Mr. Audette for their efforts in planning and preparing the activities.
Families who attend the awards assemblies are advised to note these dates:
The Intermediate Assembly (grades four to six) is at 2 p.m. May 24;
The Primary Assembly (kindergarten to third grade) is at 10 a.m. May 25.
