Wings Christian Academy

The winners for the first day of spirit week, fashion disaster day, were Melissa Newton, Naomi Pettey and Chase Miller; garbage bag and duct tape day — Joel Consiel, Kaylee Burger, Amy Wood and Cassie Sutton. Caden MacLellan, Jesse Puletau and Amy Wood came to school the most beat up on fake an injury day. Amy Wood, Julianne Pettey, David McGee and Jared Wood won cowboy and Indian day.

Upper Learning Center students will leave the school at 9 a.m. for a day on the Seven Lakes Trail on Friday. They will need to use their recently learned skills of reading topographical maps and following a compass to find clues hidden along the trail. They also will get a chance to try their skills at matching animals to their tracks.

There will be a field trip to the Anchorage Zoo on Monday. The students will leave in the bus at 8 a.m.

A music recital for Geri Brigham's music class is at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The speech students also will give a presentation at that time.

Congratulations to Kasey McGee, who recently entered the 2000s club. Naomi Pettey and Kade Foust made it to the 3000s club, while Courtney McGee and Kassidy Foust each entered the 5000s club.
