Sports Brief: Homer softball blanks Skyview

The Homer softball team defeated Skyview 26-0 in three innings Tuesday in Northern Lights Conference action in Homer.
Kathleen McNary got the shutout for the Mariners, allowing one hit over three innings.
Lauren Cashman, Brooke DeVaney and Kelsey Coates all had four hits for the Mariners. Ashley Ketelle and Alecia Stafford added three hits.
The Mariners, now 5-2 overall, travel to a tournament in Sitka on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Panthers host Kenai on Thursday at 4 p.m.
