FAIRBANKS (AP) -- A Salcha man burned by steam from a punctured boiler during a vehicle accident earlier this week has died of his injuries.
Jason Matthews, 28, suffered third-degree burns on 95 percent of his body and died Thursday at a hospital burn unit in Seattle, authorities said.
Matthews was injured when he lost control of a truck on his way to work Wednesday, police said. The steam boiler was in the van's rear compartment.
