There still are sibling pictures in the office that have not been picked up. Pictures not pickled up by this week will be returned.
Mr. Daniels' class is finishing up its Northeast Region information posters. Students have posters on the American Revolution, the industrial revolution, colonial America and the early Native Americans. Students also are going on a camp out soon to learn survival skills.
The first-graders wrote their own folk tale. The students are busy illustrating and editing their work. Last Wednesday, they had the district art specialist come to the classroom to teach them how to make a mosaic. Student mosaics are hanging in the hallway for viewing.
Friday was the Student in Good Standing celebration. The class celebrated excellent behavior for the month of April by watching "Brother Bear" in the gym.
In math, the students have been practicing the last math facts, learning about spheres and cones, identifying dollars and adding three-digit numbers.
The Reflections and artist-in-residence programs, as well as school newspaper, The Caribou Gazette, will hold an indoor garage sale fund-raiser from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the gymnasium. Donations currently are being accepted and tables are available to rent for $10. Vendors are welcome. Fall registration will be from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 9 and 10.
