The kindergarten through second-grade students are learning about cowboys. The students are creating brands using their initials made with popsicle sticks. For a review of phonics, mathematics and the Bible, the class has been playing a footprints game with a giant numbered cube and paper footprints on the floor.

In Mrs. Pribbenow's third- through fifth-grade class, the students are determined to reach their goal of completing their homemade books. A parakeet named "Goldie" is a new member to the classroom.

The sixth- through eighth-graders are watching "My Fair Lady" in their creative arts class. The seventh-graders are advancing in algebra, while the eighth-graders are reviewing math skills and working supplemental exercises. Students are preparing for their final tests in science and literature.

Students are enjoying the sunshine on the playground. There are three more weeks of school left. Planning still is in progress for the end-of-the-year fun day scheduled for May 21. A day at the beach is a possibility.

A reminder to parents, May 26 is an in-service day.

The last day of school is May 27.

The awards presentation is May 27, and parents are asked to attend. For more information, call Adele Pribbenow at 283-3150.
