Lisa and her husband, James, made their home in Sacramento, Calif., where they raised two children, Karin and James C. They moved to Ninilchik in 1991 to join their daughter and grandson Dylan.

"Lisa was a gracious lady. At the age of 19, she modeled fine clothing and fur. She was deciding whether or not to go to New York to pursue her modeling career, when she met and fell in love with her husband. She was a very caring person, tried to make everyone feel at home when visiting. She was also a caretaker for her mother in-law, mother sister and husband. She had a beautiful smile and loved to tell jokes. Her joy in life was watching her grandson grow up, marry and give her a great grandson, Cody, who called her Grandma W. Wherever she went she made so many friends," her family said.

Ms. Westergaard was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Westergaard; brothers, Alex Paul and Ivan Karacozoff; Close family, Ethel and John Pherson.

She is survived by her daughter, Karin and her husband, Galen Grimes; son, James C W and his wife Jacki; grandson, Dylan and his wife, Tammy; great grandson, Cody; and sisters.
