Gorman to speak at New Life

Motivational speaker and recording artist Mark Gorman will be the featured speaker at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at Kenai New Life Assembly of God at 209 Princess St., between Kenai Central High School and Pizza Hut.

Gorman has given talks throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Asia, Mexico, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

The topic will be the challenges facing marriages and families. For more information, call 283-7752.

Drama troupe to meet

Kyds Tyme, a Christian musical drama troupe, will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays at St. Francis Episcopal Family Church of God in Kenai. There is no cost. For more information, call 283-1970.

Bible study group to meet

Nikiski Aglow meets at 9:30 a.m. Wednesdays at North Star Methodist Church. It is open to area women.

Clothing available

Clothes 2 Go is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays in the basement of the Nikiski Inlet Faith Church. Items cost 25 cents and up.

Clothes Quarters open

Clothes Quarters in the back of the parking lot of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church at 225 Spruce in Kenai will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday and May 25. For more information, call 283-4555.

Interfaith schedules meetings

The Kenai Interfaith Hospitality Network board of directors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Bridges Community Resources Network Inc., located in the Eureka Mall, next door to Acapulco Restaurant on the Sterling Highway in Soldotna. The fund-raising committee will meet at 7 p.m. May 24 at Bridges, and a members meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. May 26 at Bridges. All interested parties are invited to attend.

The mission of the KIHN is to mobilize communities to help homeless families, including veterans, unemployed workers, low-income and people who have been displaced by crisis or disaster. Its focus is to assist these families effectively to achieve and sustain their independence, and to provide families with shelter, meals and comprehensive compassionate support.

Addictions group to meet

Reformers Unanimous, a national Christ-centered addictions program meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Fridays at the Immanuel Baptist Church. Also being offered is Kids RU, a children's program that teaches children of Reformers Unanimous participants how to avoid addictions. For more information on either program, call 283-9361.
