I saw Mr. Warren's letter (Clarion, May 4) and wanted to add a couple things people in Kenai and Soldotna need to think about.
First, gas delivered via a small diameter pipeline all the way to the North Slope is not going to be cheap for anyone. Period.
Second, besides retaining their monopoly, Enstar's Parks Highway route keeps us from reaping the AGIA benefits Sarah Palin promised us. Remember? Gas for cost? No state of Alaska taxes?
Forget all that if we go the Parks route, because the Parks route doesn't connect to AGIA. The state of Alaska can go on charging us an extra 25 percent on every gallon shipped via Enstar's pipeline.
Maybe we'll be too dumb to notice?
