Local artists and food vendors wanted for Kenai River Festival

The Kenai Watershed Forum is accepting applications from local artists and food vendors to reserve booth space at the Kenai River Festival on June 11, 12 & 13 at Soldotna Creek Park in downtown Soldotna. Cancer fundraiser seeks donations

The 2010 Pink Ribbon Rally Golf Event (formerly Rally for the Cure) is gearing up for it's fifth year of raising funds to help fight breast cancer. All net proceeds this year will go to the Central Peninsula Health Foundation to be used for local breast cancer patients.The group is looking for donations for raffles, live and silent auction items, hole sponsors, and prizes. Event is scheduled for June 27. For more information call Judy Keck-Walsh at 262-1560.

Registration now open for Run for the River

Registration is open for the Kenai Watershed Forum's Run for the River 5K and 10 Mile run/walk on June 12. Held in conjunction with the 2010 Kenai River Festival, this event supports watershed education on the Kenai Peninsula. Early registration is $20 and is open through June 9. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. T-shirt is included with registration fee.
