Nikiski Freestyle Wrestling Club takes 4th at state tournament

The Nikiski Freestyle Wrestling Club participated in the State Championship Freestyle Tournament on April 30 and May 1. Nikiski Freestyle finished fourth as a team, earning 26 medals and had 41 participants. The tournament had 820 wrestlers competing from around the state. The results follow:

Girls Freestyle:

Intermediate: 65 -- Kaitlyn Johnson, 1st place

Schoolgirl: 120 -- Bella Fiore, 1st place

Homer splits with Ketchikan

Homer soccer split with visiting Ketchikan on Wednesday. Homer's boys won 2-1 while the Kings defeated the Mariners in the girls game.
