FAIRBANKS (AP) A 29-year-old Fairbanks man was sentenced to four years in prison Tuesday for his second conviction of sexual abuse of a minor.

Stacey R. Lorenz, who served 20 months in jail in the early 1990s for a conviction of a sexual relationship with a girl 15 years old or younger, was arrested again in December and charged with abusing a 15-year-old girl during the prior two months.

He was originally charged with five counts of sexual abuse but agreed to a plea deal that called for one conviction and no more than a four-year sentence.

The victim told police she was abused while in a dating relationship with Lorenz. She told police that Lorenz became controlling of her, at one point taking a job at a fast food restaurant across the street from the high school she attended.

Judge Charles Pengilly also sentenced Lorenz to five years probation and three years of suspended time.

Terms of the plea agreement calls for Lorenz to again undergo sex offender evaluation. He will also be required to register with the state's sex offender registration database.
