Sponsoring organization: Arctic AmeriCorps

Activities to get the Sterling area youth involved in their community and to learn leadership and teamwork skills. The activities will include barbecues, fishing and youth rallies. This group will learn great teamwork and leadership skills while having fun playing games and meeting new people.

the Kenai Summer Clubhouse will include various mini-courses to promote character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills; the arts; and sports, fitness and recreation.

Other: A free breakfast and lunch is sponsored by Alaska Department of Education and Early Development. An afternoon snack also will be provided.

6 (completed first grade) through 18 years of age

Dates: June 9 through Aug. 22

Session 1: June 9-30

Session 2: July 1-31 (closed July 4)

Session 3: Aug. 1-22

Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday

Cost: $20 membership, plus $100 per session per child; maximum fee ‹ two children same family; scholarships available; space is limited and preregistration is required.

Cost: $100 per child per session with Boys and Girls Club membership ($20 per year)
