Classics concert gives musicians chance to do what they love to do

Posted: Wednesday, May 14, 2003

On behalf of the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra, I would like to thank everyone who supported the Evening of Classics concert that was held last Saturday night at the Christ Lutheran Church. We had a wonderful audience and the performers all played and/or sang their hearts out. We are so lucky to have such a talented community of musicians and a very loyal audience that attends our functions and makes it possible for us to do what we like to do.

Special gratitude goes to Pastor Randy Parshall and family and the Christ Lutheran congregation, which always supports and encourages musical events at their church, and to Isabelle and Tim Harbaugh, who donated the most beautiful and delicious cookies for the reception after the concert.

Also, thanks to everyone who made extra donations to the orchestra, over and beyond admission to the concert.

Maria Allison
