On Monday, Ms. Hoffman's class cleaned up Swanson River Road. This is the class's way of thanking Unocal for its donation to the class's field trip to Peterson Bay. T-shirts were donated by Greg and Sharon Merle.

Mr. Shapley and Mrs. Lawrence will take their classes to the Nikiski pool today. Ms. Dierick's class will go to the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center to see the wildlife art exhibit, then to CISPRI to learn about preventing and-or cleaning up oil spills. Mrs. Macdonald's class will go to Seward on Friday to take the Kenai Fjords trip. Mrs. Harrison's class will go to Scout Lake on Friday as well.

The sixth grade presentation and awards assembly will be at 1:30 p.m. May 21. Parents and relatives are invited to come celebrate the end of the 2003 school year with teachers and students.

There will be a bike rodeo with Dr. McCord the morning of May 22, followed by a picnic sponsored by the PTA and field day activities. Thanks to all the parents, students and community members who have been a part of the year.

2003-04 new students may register between now and June 4 or after Aug. 4.
