KRPGA taking kids fishing

Posted: Friday, May 14, 2004

The Kenai River Professional Guide Association's fourth annual Take a Kid Fishing day is scheduled for Sunday morning on the Kenai River.

About 35 guides will donate their time to take children from Cook Inlet Academy, Tustumena Elementary, Soldotna Middle, Redoubt Elementary and Soldotna Elementary schools fishing. Students were selected to participate by their schools' administrators.

The guide organization applied for and received a special permit from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game for guides to be out on the river Sunday for the charitable event.
