Legal matters seminar scheduled

The Family Caregiver Outreach and Support Program will present a free, two-hour seminar on living wills, power of attorneys, conservators and guardianship with Jan Tempel, attorney at law, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center, 197 Park Ave. The seminar is open to families and caregivers. Historical society plans rummage sale

The Kasilof Regional Historical Society will hold its first rummage sale Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the McLane Center at Mile .5 of Kalifornsky Beach Road. For more information, call 262-2439.

Cheechako News editions sought

The Soldotna Historical Society is looking for copies of the Cheechako News published between January and April of 1986. These editions are the only ones missing from the collection at the Soldotna Library. Some of the editions may be under the name, "The Soldotna Sun."

Anyone with information regarding these issues is asked to call Katherine Parker at 262-4580.

Builders to hold meeting

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will hold its annual membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Golden International Restaurant. Special guests will be 2002 Shelby Johnson Memorial Scholarship recipients. All members are encouraged to attend.

SBDC sponsoring tax workshop

The Small Business Development Council, along with the Peninsula Job Center, is sponsoring a workshop entitled, "Effective Payroll Tax and Employee Forms," Thursday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Red Diamond Center, suite 16. Cost is $15, and reservations are required in advance.

Fellowship group plans potluck

Send the Light Fellowship is planning a community potluck Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Peninsula Grace Church. This potluck will feature a non-denominational outreach team reaching out to Native and non-Native people alike.

Hospice informational meeting planned

Hospice of the Central Peninsula will hold an informational meeting from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the Hospice office. Opportunities for volunteers will be discussed. For more information, call Liz or Sue at 262-0453.

Soldotna ski team to hold car wash

The Soldotna High School cross country ski team is planning a fund raising car wash from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Papa Murphy's in Soldotna.
