DeShong, Johnson marry in Texas

Nicole Michelle De-Shong and Christopher Matthew Johnson of Texas were married in an afternoon ceremony Saturday, April 9, 2005, at Wildwood Baptist Church in Pinehurst, Texas. The Rev. Larry Edwards officiated. The bride's uncle Bill DeShong gave her away.

The bride is the daughter of Barbara DeShong of Nikiski. She wore a cream-colored dress with a champagne train and carried a champagne and rose bouquet.

The groom is the son of Tena and John Johnson of Montgomery, Texas. He wore black slacks, a white shirt and a champagne vest.

The maid of honor during the ceremony was Kathryn Coveyou. She wore an empire rose-colored dress. Danielle DeShong, sister of the bride, Kala Johnson, sister of the groom, and Crystal Chase were the bridesmaids. They wore rose empire spaghetti-strap dresses.

The groom's father, John, was the best man. Eddie Chivelle, Justin Chase and Aaron Block were the groomsmen.

Ushers for the ceremony were A.J. Orth and Ron (Bubba) Williams.

The flower girl was Katelyn Obrien and Ryan Williams was the ring bearer.

The reception was held in Anderson, Texas. The couple honeymooned in San Antonio, Texas.

The couple lives in Montgomery.

Dobson, Edmunds plan wedding

Donna Darlean Dobson and Christopher Daniel Edmunds of Soldotna plan to be married Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Bridal Point in Sterling.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Donald and Sherrie Dobson of Sterling. She is working toward an associate's degree at Kenai Peninsula College. She is the office manager at Superstructures Inc.

The future groom is the son of Steve and Carrey Acton of Soldotna and Chuck Edmunds of Washington. He graduated from Soldotna High School and is a carpenter for Hall Quality Builders.

Hadden, Kaser announce engagement

Aleshia L. Hadden and Lt. Brandon S. Kaser of Lemoore, Calif. plan to be married in an evening ceremony Saturday, Aug. 6, 2005, in Oakhurst, Calif.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marilyn and Robert Hadden of Nikiski. She is a 1998 graduate of Nikiski High School and works as a model and actress in California.

The groom-to-be is the son of Sandy and Roy Kaser of Crawfordsville, Ind., He is a 1994 graduate of Southmont High School and a 1998 graduate of Prudue University. He serves in the U.S. Navy and pilots F/A-18 Super Hornets.

The couple is stationed in Lemoore, Calif.
