The additional square footage has allowed Mike and Theresa to bring many new lines that has broaden their product lines for the home as well as commercial buildings, “People of the Peninsula are interested in a wide array of things for their homes today such as area rugs, laminate and hardwood floors, ceramic tile as well as vinyl and traditional carpet coverings, so we’ve added the things that people love to have for their homes like a complete line of Salt City candles and a line of unique above the counter sinks made from marble and glass that work great in bar as well as bath areas and are actually surface art with a practical function. The bottom line is the Floor Center is all about your home and things that make it look great as well as being practical,” commented Winegarden.

Winegarden and his wife Theresa are design consultants and they feel that is an important part of what sets the Floor Center apart from the mega box store experience, “We’re here to help you design the over look and feel of what is going into your home, we’ve seen some real disasters happen to folks that love what a sample looks like in the store, but when they see it in their home, it just doesn’t have the look or feel they were after, and that’s what we are here for and have years of experience putting together products and colors that work well together and help you feel more at home when you come home,” added Michael.

Like other markets technology has had radical impacts to the floor covering industry, “Laminates for instance over the last five years have increased in their durability, their looks, textures and feels and that’s just one example of coverings that are totally different from what they were,” said Mike. The Winegarden’s agree that their favorite part of the business is being able to help the client from beginning to end, “Becoming part of the start of a project and then seeing it through to the finish and having the customer be delighted with the outcome, that’s the best part of our business.” Mike and Theresa are planning a grand re-opening for the Floor Center’s new home location next month and in the meantime invite everyone to stop by the new store and learn of the factory direct savings they can offer you, or call 260-6646.
