Garage, bake sale slated

North Star United Methodist Church will hold a garage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the church. Proceeds will benefit the church building project. For more information, call 776-8732.

Healing rooms open

The Kalifonsky Christian Center's healing room will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the center at Mile 17 Kalifornsky Beach Road. Healing will be ministered to by its intercessory team. For more information, call 283-9452.

Youth choir to perform

The Alaska Children's Choir, directed by Janet Stolts, will perform a free concert at 7 p.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church in Soldotna.

The children in the touring choir are from Anchorage, Palmer and Wasilla. The choir will present multi-lingual songs using various instruments. For more information, call 262- 4928.

Alpha course training offered

Soldotna United Methodist Church will host orientation and training on Alpha -- an introduction to the Christian faith and to explore doing an Alpha in the community course from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the church at 158 Binkley St. and an Alpha for prisons course from 1 to 3 p.m. or 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday at the church.

Vacation Bible school offered

Star of the North Lutheran Church will hold its free vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon June 2 through 6 at the church at 216 North Forest Drive in Kenai. Echo Lake Bible study ongoing

A King James Bible study group meets at 7 p.m. Thursdays on East Echo Lake Road. For more information, call Jep Hensen at 262-3509.

Children's Bible club offered

Sterling Baptist Church will hold a children's Bible club from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the church on the Sterling Highway at the corner of Swanson River Road. Some of the planned activities include games, prizes, Bible stories and songs.

Nikiski Aglow meeting set

Nikiski Aglow meets at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at North Star United Methodist Church at Mile 25.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway. Women may attend Bible study, prayer and worship.

Soldotna Day Aglow's Bible study titled Breaking Free, by Beth Moore, continues at 10 a.m. Wednesdays at Peninsula Christian Center in Soldotna. Fellowship and coffee are at 9:30 a.m. Free childcare is provided.

Clothes Quarters open

The Clothes Quarters is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays at 225 S. Spruce St. behind Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai.

Grief support group to meet

Soldotna United Methodist Church conducts a life, love and loss support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of the month at the church at 158 S. Binkley St. Any type of loss is open for discussion in the group.
