Description: Up to four classes a day, five days a week will be offered. Among the topics are acting, Shake-speare, play writing, theater sports, storytelling, film, the actor on stage, mask making, scenic design, scenic painting, stage craft and radio drama.
The camp will go three weeks for younger campers and four weeks for older ones. Those in the musical production will rehearse for seven weeks. Campers need not be in the musical to take classes.
Classes will be taught by those involved in local theater and college theater grads. Carol Ford will direct the musical.
Ages: Students in first through sixth grades (three-week camp); students in sixth through 12th grades (four-week camp)
Dates: Three-week camp June 28-July 16; four-week camp July 19-Aug. 13
Hours: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday (classes); 3 to 5:30 p.m. (rehearsals)
Cost: $25 per week per class for the first two classes; $10 per week per class for the third and fourth classes

Description: Sterling Summer Youth Theater's workshop-style classes will provide hands-on learning experiences in the areas of acting, directing, set design and construction, costume design and construction, and playwriting. A play will be performed for the community at the end of July.
