Skyview after-graduation committee to meet

The Skyview High School after-graduation committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the commons at the school until graduation. Volunteers are still needed. The topics will be volunteer scheduling, activity planning and party preparations.

Soldotna city council to meet

The city of Soldotna will hold its city council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and not 5:30 p.m., as was listed in Tuesday's advertisement in the Clarion.

Senior housing meting planned

There will be a meeting after lunch Wednesday at the Nikiski Senior Citizens Center concerning the Nikiski senior housing project.

Law enforcement memorial service set

The Soldotna Police Department will host the annual Law Enforcement Memorial Service to honor fallen officers at 3 p.m. Wednesday at department headquarters. The service will include remarks from Soldotna Police Chief John Lucking, Kenai Police Chief Chuck Kopp, Seward Police Chief Tom Clements, Lt. Randy Rosencrans of Homer, Alaska State Trooper Tom Bowman, Soldotna Mayor Dave Carey and Kenai Peninsula Borough Mayor Dale Bagley. Refreshments will be served.

Class of '95 reunion slated

Skyview High School class of 1995 will host its 10-year reunion June 24, 25 and 26. The registration deadline is Wednesday. For more information, call Brandy Nelson (Jackson) at 260-3117.

Retirement open house planned

There will be an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Mountain View Elementary School in Kenai in honor of Satorene Jackson, who is retiring after 22 years of teaching. The public is encouraged to attend. Cards and letters may be sent to the school at 315 Swires Road, Kenai, AK 99669.
