Kenai Crewsers appreciate storage space and other help

Posted: Tuesday, May 18, 2004

The Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club would like to thank Alan Norville for the donation of warehouse space at ACS over the winter. Because of Alan's generosity, we were able to keep six very large rowing shells out of the weather for eight months and were able to conduct maintenance on them in a heated area.

Thanks also to John from ACS for his helpfulness in giving us open access to the boats. Thanks to Guff Sherman for helping us with vinyl lettering, oar designs and paint (he never charges us) and to Seward, who welds our riggers for free.

In addition, huge thank-yous to our family members who help us with maintenance, moving boats and lots of other handy stuff, and to all the members of this community who encourage us by attending fund-raisers and other events and for cheering us on as we travel Outside to race.

We're looking forward to a wonderful season of rowing and encourage anyone who is interested in joining us to look up our Web site at or call 260-OARS. It's not too late the deadline for Learn to Row sign-up has been extended to Sunday.

Vickie Tinker, President, Kenai Crewsers Rowing Club
