Successful fund-raiser gets reader's heart going

Posted: Wednesday, May 18, 2005

This year's Jump Rope for Heart fund-raiser for the American Heart Association was a hopping success. Four hundred and fifty-eight kids participated, raising a total of $3,700.

Forty kids raised money. Thirteen kids raised more than $100. Those kids had the opportunity to duct tape Mrs. Tobin and Mrs. Owens to the wall.

A special thanks to personal trainer Terri

Ellis, Trinity Greenhouse, Kenai River Nursery, Redline Sports, Alaska Great Skate, Beemun's, Subway, the American Heart Association, parent volunteers, Mrs. Bagley, nurse Tracy and the kids who participated!
