Eighth-grade graduation is 7 p.m. Thursday at Soldotna Bible Chapel. Congratulations to Maya Chay, Masonic Student of the Year.

In the state Future Problem Solving competition, seventh-grader Will McDermid placed first in the intermediate individual category. In June, he will attend the International Conference in Lexington, Kentucky.

Congratulations to seventh-grader Alex Kaufman for winning a silver medal for the National Latin Test.

Mrs. Uponen's second graders have finished a unit on fractured fairy tales. They read "The Three Little Wolves" and the "Big Bad Pig." They wrote their own mixed-up stories. They will perform two fractured fairy tale plays for their parents.

Notification has been sent out with 2005-06 lottery enrollment results.
