Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Sciences

The school will accept applications throughout summer. There are open positions in first grade. Second- and third-graders will be placed on a waiting list.

Mrs. Knudsen's and Mrs. Lafferty's classes will walk to the fire station and library Thursday. Students need to bring a cold lunch for a picnic. They will have another field trip May 26 when they walk to the beach.

There is an artist reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday. Everyone is invited to view the public showing of student-created poetry and painting projects. Visit with artist Shala Dobson who has been working with Sears and Kaleidoscope students and teachers for the past two weeks. The arts event was made possible through funding from Alaska Council on the Arts, Rasmussen foundation, National Endowment for the Arts and Sears and Kaleidoscope PTA.

Teacher requests for next fall are available in the office.

Dates to remember:

n Monday and Tuesday — Bike Rodeo;

n May 25 — All school picnic; and

n May 26 — Last day of school.
