Trails, tails topic of luncheon today

Happy (Iditarod) Trails is the theme for the May meeting of the Kenai-Soldotna Christian Women's Club. The luncheon will be today from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Old Town Village Restaurant in Kenai.

Evy Gebhardt, wife of Iditarod musher Paul Gebhardt, will present the special feature, sharing "tails" of dog mushing, and Deby Trosper, Iditarod restart coordinator, will be the featured speaker.

Cost of the luncheon is $10 and it is open to all women.

Eternal Reign festival set for June

The third annual Eternal Reign Music and Arts Festival is scheduled for June 16-18 in Wrangell.

Activities include worship, outdoor recreation, teen and children's events, music and arts. The festival culminates with a salmon bake. The festival is nondenominational.
