Now that school is coming to a close, many different events are coming around fast.
The kindergartners will be tie-dying T-shirts this week. Students are reminded to bring T-shirts to school as soon as possible.
The sixth-grade class will have its annual "Palm Beach" field trip Thursday.
Thursday also will be the last day of after-school tutoring in Mr. Drury's class.
The academic policy committee will have a planning meeting of a possible ninth- and 10th-grade expansion at 6 p.m. Thursday in the school.
The fifth-grade class will host a wax museum from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Friday. All parents and other students are invited to attend.
Eighth-grade graduation is at 7 p.m. Monday at the Soldotna Bible Chapel. The seventh-grade parents will host for the eighth-grade students and parents. For more information, call Lesly Gordon at 262-6089. Volunteers still are needed.
The eighth-grade students also are working on their yearbook. All baby, toddler, youth and current photos to be included should be brought to class this week.
The fifth- and sixth-graders will visit Alaska Great Skate from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The fifth-grade class also will visit the Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. They will leave the school at 9:45 a.m., walk to the center and return by 11:30 a.m.
The last day of school is May 27, and the school will host a field day and picnic at the green strip park in Kenai. All families are welcome to attend.
