On June 15, 2004, I personally heard Gov. Frank Murkowski's reasoning behind needing a new plane. He was straightforward and did not appear to be a brat to me, as so stated in the story about a mayor of Clam Gulch protesting.
He is our governor, and we should show him the respect he deserves. He is a hard-working politician trying to make our lives and our state a better place to live.
I think a new plane is a dream come true for anybody, and so be it for the governor.
