ANCHORAGE (AP) A Petersburg man is accused of distributing methamphetamine by mail.
A multi-agency drug force worked with Petersburg police to investigate the case May 9 that led to the arrest of Ronald J. Buckner, 24, Alaska State Troopers said.
Postal inspectors intercepted a package addressed to Petersburg. The package contained nearly 14 grams of methamphetamine, troopers said.
The package was delivered to a home and Buckner was arrested on a charge of misconduct involving a controlled substance, troopers said.
Authorities also seized three guns, troopers said.
The Southeast Alaska Narcotics Enforcement Team is made up troopers and police from Juneau, Sitka, Petersburg, Haines, Ketchikan, Skagway and Wrangell.
