FAIRBANKS (AP) A Fairbanks man accused of molesting an 8-year-old girl in November has been sentenced to two years in prison after reaching a plea agreement.

Wilbur R. Koyukuk, 40 pleaded no contest Monday to a reduced charge of attempted second-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Fairbanks police said allegations against Koyukuk surfaced in December, and he was indicted on a charge of second-degree sexual abuse of a minor in March. It is at least the third time Koyukuk has been charged with a sexual offense in Fairbanks.

He also has been charged twice with failure to register as a sex offender.
