Wesley “Wes” David Redden died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Providence Hospital of heart complications.
Mr. Redden, “Grandpa Wes”, was born June 21, 1935, in Ohio.
He traveled all over of the United States, with Alaska being his final resting grounds. He moved to Alaska in the spring of 2002. At that time it was the only state he had not been in.
“He loved Alaska and planned to stay,” his family said.
In his younger years, he was an avid hunter, outdoorsman and poet. He was a “Jack of many trades” carpentry, mechanics, upholstery, logging and poetry, among many.
“In his later years he settled into fishing, boating, friends and family. He loved fishing Alaska’s waters and being outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He always had time for others and was very giving of himself. He loved to tease and tell stories,” his family said. “Rest in peace, Dad, we love you and will miss you! He leaves behind family and many friends that will miss him deeply.”
