Mother Theresa once said, "We cannot do great things on this Earth, only small things with great love." The central Kenai Peninsula lost a truly dedicated couple this month who contributed many times with great love.
Ron and Pam Delaney will be beginning a new adventure in Washington, and the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank wishes them well.
The Delaneys have played an extremely active part in the food bank's annual Soup Supper and Auction as coordinators, plus Ron created delicious soups and head table meals.
We truly have been blessed by their volunteerism and dedicated spirit to our community. Ron and Pam cooked and served many meals as the Fred Meyer service team in our Fireweed Diner over the years. As Fred Meyer's manager, Ron led the national company in his efforts of a food salvage program for our organization and those who seek our services.
Ron and Pam have been very active in other organizations, too, including the United Way Board of Directors.
On behalf of all who have been touched by the Delaneys, thank you.
