Marlar, Araoz plan summer ceremony

Kimberly Lyn Marlar and Guillermo Rafael Araoz, both of New York, will be married May 28 at Woodmont Baptist Church in Florence, Ala.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lester Marlar of Dothan, Ala., and granddaughter of Mrs. Robert Phillip Comer and the late Mr. Comer of Muscle Shoals, Ala., and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sherman Marlar of Tuscumbia, Ala.

Kimberly graduated from Briarwood High School in Birmingham, Ala., from Mississippi State University with a degree in banking and financing. She also received a degree from the New York University School of Law. Kimberly is currently an associate in the New York office of Kirkland and Ellis.

The future groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Gonzalo Araoz-Fraser of Soldotna, and grandson of the late Dr. and Mrs. Guillermo Araoz-Fraser and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ricardo Valencia, all of Bogota, Colombia.

Guillermo Rafael graduated from Soldotna High School. He received a degree in economics from the University of California, Davis and a degree from the School of Advanced International Studies, John Hopkins University. He is currently an associate at JP Morgan, New York.

Forms for engagements and weddings are available at the Clarion's Kenai and Soldotna offices. Color or black and white pictures also may be submitted. Photos with an address written on the back will be returned.

Weddings must be submitted within six months to be printed.
