Former Kenai resident Florence D. Walker died Friday, May 7, 2004, in Yuma, Ariz., after a prolonged illness. She was 67.
Services were held at Sunset Vista Memorial in Arizona, on Saturday, May 15.
Mrs. Walker was born in Taylor, N.D., and raised in Billings, Mont.
She married Ralph Walker in 1954, and the couple moved to Alaska in 1966. They stayed for 30 years. They moved to Yuma in 1996.
She spent many hours painting the Alaska mountains. She also enjoyed cross-stitching, quilting, hiking and swimming.
"Florence was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend," her family said. "Her life was spent caring for family and friends. She will be missed but will always be in our hearts."
Mrs. Walker is survived by three children and five grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Sunset Vista Memorial.
