Work slated for Kachemak Bay park

Posted: Friday, May 21, 2004

The eighth annual Trails Day at Kachemak Bay State Park will be June 12. The day will trail work and hiking in the company of friends and family.

Participants need to sign up at the Homer State Parks office or at the Islands and Oceans Visitors Center. The water taxi fare is $15 for round-trip transportation to the park and work sites.

Participants should meet at 7 a.m. at the Mariners' Memorial on the Homer spit and will return to the spit about 5 or 6 p.m.

All participants must register and pay the water taxi fee in advance so that adequate transportation can be arranged.
