Body uncovered in Nikiski bluff

On Tuesday at about 3:30 p.m. Alaska State Troopers received a report of human remains found within an eroding bluff on the beach in Nikiski.
The burial was several feet below the surface and was apparently uncovered due to the erosion of the surrounding hillside.
The age of the burial has yet to be determined but no foul play is suspected at this time, according to troopers. The scene was investigated and remains were seized for submittal to the state medical examiner.
