Ninilchik medics to make pancakes

The Ninilchik Emergency Services annual pancake breakfast is from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. this weekend -- Saturday, Sunday and Monday -- at the Kenai Peninsula State Fairgrounds, Mile 136 of the Sterling Highway.

Prices are $8 for adults; $5 for kids ages 6 to 12; 5 and under are free. All proceeds benefit Ninilchik Emergency Services.

Kasilof cemetery cleanup planned

The Spruce Grove Cemetery in Kasilof will have a cleanup day from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. Lunch will be provided at the Sees.

High-schoolers cowboy up

The first High School Rodeo event in Ninilchik is scheduled for Saturday at the Kenai Peninsula State Fairgrounds, Mile 136 of the Sterling Highway. The gates open at 1 p.m. and admission is $1. All proceeds benefit Alaska High School Rodeo.

Masonic informational night slated

Sterling Masonic Lodge No. 22 will present a Masonic information night at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Sterling Senior Center. Dinner will be provided.

School computer sales scheduled

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will be selling computers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following schools around the district:

* Nikiski High School -- May 28 and 29

* Homer High School -- June 3, 4 and 5

* Soldotna High School -- June 10 and 11

* Kenai Central High School -- June 18 and 19

* Skyview High School -- June 24 and 25

* Ninilchik School -- June 26

* Seward High School -- June 29 and 30

* Soldotna Middle School -- July 2

Career training offered

A representative from the Career Skills Institute will be available from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Peninsula Job Center in the Fireweed Room to answer questions, provide applications and information about an upcoming employability skills training session.

People between ages 14 and 24 are eligible to attend. Parents are welcome.

Midnight fun event seeks vendors

North Peninsula Recreation is accepting booth applications for the Family Fun in the Midnight Sun event. Nonprofit and for-profit organizations may have booths.

Booths can range from food, carnival/game, political and informational to crafts and sales.
