Challenger Center grateful for Kenai’s help

Posted: Monday, May 22, 2006

This is a public thanks to the City of Kenai and Kenai’s city council for showing their support of the Challenger Learning Center at last week’s city council meeting.

Our Challenger Board of Directors is working diligently with our pro bono director, Larry Porter, in developing means to make it self sustaining.

This facility in Kenai is providing science and space technology for hundreds and hundreds of students who come through it each year from all parts of Alaska. It is a privilege having it located within the city of Kenai, and the nature of what it will do for educating Alaska’s future generations is revealing to Alaskans everywhere the progressive stand our community is making in Alaska.
