Left to right, Gwen, Lexi, Morgan, Shaylee, Otto, Raven and Nancy, all of West Katmai Avenue in Soldotna, are shown with their food donations for the U.S. Post Office’s annual Stamp Out Hunger Campaign held May 13. The friends collected over 30 pounds of food by going door to door on the 200 block of West Katmai. They were escorted by Eleanor Dryden (not shown). The food drive was sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers and is the nation’s largest one-day food drive. Residents throughout the country leave nonperishable food items by their mailboxes and letter carriers pick up the millions of pounds of donated food.
