Chamber luncheon planned

The Greater Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly luncheon at noon today at the Riverside House. Guest speaker will be Mark Lloyd from the Alaska SeaLife Center. For more information, call 262-9814.

Salad luncheon scheduled

The Pioneers of Alaska, Igloo 33 and Auxiliary 16 will hold a Spring Fling salad luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Kenai Elks Lodge. The price is $6 per person for all you can eat.

Chamber to hold luncheon

The North Peninsula Chamber of Commerce will hold its weekly luncheon meeting at noon Thursday at the Lighthouse Inn. Faron Owens with KPMTC will speak. The meeting is open to the public.

Mapping cemeteries is topic of meeting

The Kenai Totem Tracers Genealogy Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Kenai Community Library conference room. The topic of the meeting will be mapping the Kenai Peninsula cemeteries. The meeting is open to the public.

Builders dinner planned

The Kenai Peninsula Builders Association will hold its monthly dinner meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Mykel's Restaurant. KPBA will honor its charter and longtime members. The meeting is open to all members. To R.S.V.P., call 283-8071.

Yard sale, flea market slated in Anchor Point

A yard sale and flea market will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Anchor Point Senior Center parking lot. To reserve a table, call (907) 235-7786. Hot food and drinks will be available inside the center.

Volunteers sought by WRCC

The Women's Resource and Crisis Center is looking for community members interested in volunteering at the shelter, transitional living center and with the nutritional and child care programs. For more information, call 283-9479.

Small business center to hold workshop

The Small Business Development Center is sponsoring a free workshop June 1 entitled Introduction to Professional Web Designs, presented by David Edward-Smith from Borealis Designs. The workshop is from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Economic Development District, Mile 14.5 of the Kenai Spur Highway.
