Notes: Posted awards are $4,866,864 ... The 600 miles represents the longest race on the Winston Cup Series schedule and it puts the single-engine rule to its toughest test. Teams must use the same engine for practice, qualifying and the race or be relegated to the rear of the starting lineup and possibly face a reduction in points ... The race track is one of the most-sensitive to weather on the circuit. The race starts in the heat of the daylight and ends at night. Therefore, teams must be able to adjust their cars.
