The Kenai Peninsula Air Fair and Poker Run will be June 4. The event kicks off in the MARC Hangar at the Soldotna Airport with breakfast and Poker Run registration from 8 -- 11 a.m. The activities move to the Kenai Municipal Airport from 1 -- 3 p.m. with a barbecue, poker prize presentation, and static displays of military, commercial and general aviation aircraft. The Boys and Girls Club is accepting registrations for World Cup Soccer Camp for ages 6 to 12. Camp will run May 31 to June 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kenai Middle School soccer fields. The Alaska Department of Fish and Game will host four public meetings this month to discuss northern pike illegally introduced to Stormy Lake near Nikiski. Information gathered from these meetings will help guide the department's response to the Stormy Lake invasive northern pike issue. Registration is under way for the 2011 Tri The Kenai Triathlon, scheduled for June 12. The event takes place at Skyview High School and includes a 500-yard pool swim, a 10-mile road bike and a 5-kilometer trail run. The Soldotna Public Library Kids' Book Group will finish "Omnivore's Dilemma: The Secrets Behind What You Eat," (Young Reader's Edition), by Michael Pollan for the May meeting. The Ninilchik Volunteer Emergency Services will host their annual Memorial Day weekend Pancake breakfast. The pancake breakfast will be May 28, 29, 30, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and 7 a.m. to noon on Monday. The cost is $10 for adults, or a three day pass for $25.
