The last day of school is Tuesday, May 24. We will be having an all school picnic sponsored by The Moose Lodge and the Mountain View PTA.

Student medication kept in the nurse's office will need to be picked up by parents by Tuesday or it will be disposed of before the school closes for the summer.
Congratulations to all the NNS students who participated in the KPBSD Elementary Math Bowl in Seward on Thursday, May 5. NNS had 4 teams (17 students) make the trip, with teams from around the entire peninsula participating. Students who represented NNS included: Lochlan Quiner, Larry Degner, Braden Ellis, Dalton Mullins, Andrew Pennison, Bryan Sledge, Jamie Yerkes, Melanie Sexton, Zack Tuttle, Alex Langseth, Aaron McCollum, Lucas Demars-Meireis, Rylee Jackson, Verity Feltman, Jacob Anderson, Garrett Ellis and Thomas Halliday.
The top scoring NNS team was the "Mathadons," who tied for 8th place overall out of 34 teams. This team was made up of Melanie Sexton (captain), Bryan Sledge, Lochlan Quiner, Aaron McCollum, and Thomas Halliday. The 2nd highest scoring NNS team was the "Mathematical Minds," who placed 13th. This team consisted of Zack Tuttle (captain), Andrew Pennison, Jamie Yerkes and Garrett Ellis. The Lightning Round required students to give correct answers for each timed question in order to remain in the competition. Out of the 17 NNS students at the meet, the top performers were Andrew Pennison, Rylee Jackson and Thomas Halliday. Out of about a total of 150 students, Thomas Halliday was one of only about 10 students who completed the entire Lightening Round without a missed question.
The annual variety show will be held today at 2 p.mm in the gym. Everyone is invited to attend.
The last day of school for students will be tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24. We will be having a school picnic at noon. The picnic is sponsored by the PTA and for a $1 donation, you can have a hot dog lunch with chips, fruit, cookie and a drink. For more information, please call the school at 776-2600.
Please remember to check the lost and found for any items that your child may be missing. Also, it is important to make sure your child has turned in all library books that they may have borrowed from the school library.
Volunteers are needed to help with field day today and the school picnic tomorrow. Please call the school office at 260-4300 if you can help with either of these fun, end of year activities.
All library books must be returned before students leave for the summer. Students are required to pay for lost books. If the book is later found and returned to the library in good condition, the student will receive a refund. Students should see Mrs. Hale or Mrs. Baldwin regarding lost books.
The lost and found will be emptied on the last day of school. All remaining items will be donated to local charities.
Grades 9-11 will have exams for periods 1, 3 and 5 today.
All seniors must attend graduation practice at the Sports Center this morning in order to walk at graduation tonight.
Graduation will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center.
Students must have all fees paid, books turned in and check-out sheets completed and turned in to the office by the end of school Tuesday, the last day of school for students.

Finals are today for classes 1,3, and 5.
Tomorrow is the end of the year celebration. We will have games and activities in the afternoon. Graduation is at 7p.m. at the Soldotna Sports Center.

Those wishing to purchase a yearbook can come to room 76 during advisory/break/lunch witha $65 check made out to Soldotna High School or cash, while they last.
Due to maintenance the pool will be closed the week of May 16 -- 20. Normal hours and lap swim will resume on May 23. Sorry for the inconvenience.
